Hi, I’m Eric Meyerson
This is what AI wrote: “At Profundo Marketing, we empower startups to amplify their brand presence and accelerate growth through expert strategies rooted in experience and innovation.”
But we’re both humans here, so let’s tell the human story.

15 years building innovative technology brands
In 2010, Google hired me to launch video advertising on YouTube. I assumed leadership of a small team of product marketers, with the monumental task of building not just a video ads platform, but leading an entire industry transitioning from the linear TV era.
After two years leading advertiser marketing, I assumed leadership of YouTube’s content creator marketing team, supporting creators ranging from teenagers to global media companies.
It was a challenging learning process, full of ups and downs and personal growth. But it was just the beginning, as I followed it with global marketing leadership roles at Eventbrite and Facebook.

Transition to the startup world
After my career in big tech, I realized I was creating the most value when I was responsible for results, not managing stakeholder matrices. So I joined a seed-stage AI marketing tech startup called Sens.ai as part of their founding team. It was my first time having total responsibility for a company’s brand and growth, and I realized the startup life was going to be the rest of my career.

Supporting organizations with a mission
In 2019, I joined a pre-revenue climate tech innovator called Software Motor Company. I spent the first year building and executing a marketing plan for its agriculture division VES, before focusing on a full corporate rebrand to Turntide.
Over the ensuing four years, we grew to over $100m in revenue and more than 500 employees in six countries. We also raised $500m in funds to expand our technologies into new markets.
Since Turntide, I’ve focused on supporting mission-based organizations, from startups to NGOs.

My education
I earned my MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC-Berkeley, which was the business school for people who couldn’t believe they were going to business school. My classmates elected me commencement speaker.
I previously earned my BA from Wesleyan University, where I also ran both our twice-weekly student newspaper and our community radio station.

About Eric
I’ve lived in San Francisco since 2002, and it’s still my favorite city in the world. I live with my wife, two kids in our splendid public school system, and an impossibly weird rescue dog.
